Álvaro Siza Vieira, a famous visionary Portuguese architect, coordinates the rehabilitation of the monuments and architectonic heritage of Cidade Velha (Old Village) in Santiago, an island of Cape Vert. This project creates great expectations among the local population, who see it as a way of improving their quality of life, but there is conflict between two cultures with different ideas of modernity and progress. The film explores with humor the relationship between the people of Cidade Velha and the team. In his calm and timid manner, Siza deals with conflicts and questions by planning, deciding, imagining and drawing intensively.
